FHLB New York – Advances Business Process Re-engineering

Guided the client’s business leaders through the process of analyzing their current Advances process, from initiation through approval to funding and modifications.

Developed a new Advances process that enabled the bank to more efficiently serve its members including the ability to provide straight through processing, better data capture and analysis and increased communication. We also provided a technical architecture recommendation with a phased implementation roadmap.

Outcome

  • Facilitated 8 weeks of sessions with line of business leaders to document current state, including pain points and wish lists, and a future state process to address these issues
  • Inventoried all EUCs across all lines of business involved in the Advances process
  • Made recommendations where EUC functionality could be moved to an enterprise application
