FHLB New York – Application Modernization

Helped the client re-platform their aging PowerBuilder applications to Java/Angular to reduce maintenance costs by removing the physical hardware and refresh the look and feel of the systems.

Migrated multiple thick client application to AWS hosted web application. The implementation included a SSO based dashboard which provided access to each application based on user access.

We also implemented

  • A test automation dashboard to execute and monitor automation test results.
  • Modern DevOps pipeline to streamline application building, testing and deployment.

Outcome

  • Modularized applications into distinct backend Java APIs and frontend Angular projects
  • Codebase is more maintainable – Removed functionality no longer needed by client
  • Enhancements made – SSO and Elastic load balancing over multiple application instances
