RESTON, VA, Dec. 31, 2016 – 1Rivet, a Northern Virginia consulting firm specializing in strategic information technology consulting, outsourced services and talent acquisition, named J.P. Foley Managing Partner and Chief Strategy Officer.
Known for his business insight and IT thought leadership, Foley will focus on growing 1Rivet’s top-line revenue, enhancing employee development and identifying IT trends with transformational value for clients.
“I was drawn to 1Rivet because it combines two dominant traits rarely found in consulting organizations today – they understand business processes, and they’re hard-core technologists,” Foley said. “Typically, companies operate in one end of that spectrum, not both. This is a rare opportunity to join a firm that blends business acumen, technical expertise and industry knowledge.”
Foley’s 1Rivet partnership is his third consulting venture. He was co-founder and managing principal for IBC, a Dominion Business Solutions company, and previously co-founded Washington Consulting, Inc., an Alion Science and Technology company. He spent 12 years with large consultanting firms, culminating as a partner in Andersen’s regional Advanced Technology Group.
“J.P. keeps clients at the forefront of technology trends,” says 1Rivet Chief Operating Officer Charlie Clavelli. “He combines proven methodology, thought leadership, rigor and the ability to understand clients’ challenges.”
“1Rivet seeks to be a true partner for technology change, so even the most dubious buyer comes away delighted because their expectations are exceeded,” says 1Rivet CEO Eric Middleton. “With J.P. on board, we’re poised to continue achieving the impossible as we grow.”
Foley’s ties to Virginia run deep. He travels the DMV region coaching and cheering on his four daughters’ lacrosse, swim, gymnastics and volleyball teams. Along with his wife, Dawn, he’s an active philanthropist for many local charities, community programs and Virginia Tech, where he earned a B.A. from the Pamplin School of Business.
